About Verejne akvarium Ceska Lipa
The public aquarium at Ceska Lipa in northern Bohemia calls itself the largest display of aquarium fish in the Czech Republic - over fifty tanks holding more than a hundred species across some fifty recreated biotopes, built up over more than twenty years. It is a quiet indoor exhibition rather than a zoo, concentrating on tropical fish, plants and the habitats they come from, with species such as the spotted metynnis, cardinal tetra, Midas cichlid and red swamp crayfish.
Visitors can park at paid parking lots next to OD Banco or across from the Cultural House Crystal. For free parking, there is a lot located behind the river near the winter stadium, which is about an 8-minute walk from the aquarium. It's advisable to arrive early to secure a parking spot, especially on weekends.
- Closed on Mondays from September to June, when it opens Tuesday to Sunday 10:00-17:00 with last entry at 16:30. During the summer holidays it opens every day 10:00-18:00, last entry 17:30. It is at Prokopa Holeho 1287/2, opposite the GTA restaurant.
