About Alligator Bay
Alligator Bay at Beauvoir, five minutes from the Mont-Saint-Michel, holds around 700 animals from five continents along three separate routes. The alligator greenhouse is the largest group of alligators in Europe - a tropical house crossed on wooden walkways past caimans, crocodiles and the very rare albino Mississippi alligators, with a public feeding.
The dragon labyrinth is one of the finest lizard and snake collections in Europe with more than 200 animals, shown in bioclimatic terraria approached through tunnels and observation pyramids. The turtle farm holds over 400 turtles and tortoises, aquatic and terrestrial, from half a kilo to 250 - Goliath, an Aldabra giant, weighs 240 - and visitors may stroke the African giants. The whole park, from the car park on, is accessible to visitors with reduced mobility.
