About Parc Animalier de Sainte-Croix

The Parc Animalier de Sainte-Croix at Rhodes in Lorraine keeps some 130 species, most of them European, across themed areas - the great open spaces, the wild expanses, Histoires de loups for its wolf packs, the Ferme des Vents for old Lorraine farm breeds, and Le Nouveau Monde for North American species. It holds several wolf subspecies side by side, from the Eurasian and Arctic to the black wolf of western Canada, alongside lynx, wolverine, moose, both bison, Przewalski's horses and a large collection of European wetland birds.

Rare regional breeds are part of the point: Lorraine goats, Vosgienne and Highland cattle, Gascon pigs, Alsatian hens, Poitou donkeys and the Marron de Lorraine rabbit. Visitors can sleep in lodges facing the wolves, the black bears or the deer, and there is a safari train and a keeper-for-a-day experience.
