Noah's Ark Zoo Farm at Wraxall near Bristol began as a working farm and opened to the public in 1998, and it still mixes rare-breed farm stock - Bagot goats, Berkshire pigs, British White cattle, Suffolk Punch horses - with a full zoo collection. The headline animals are African elephants, white rhinos, giraffes, African lions, tigers and spectacled bears, alongside siamangs, three lemur species, cotton-top tamarins, Brazilian tapirs, giant anteaters and a bird of prey section with Steller's sea eagles, lanner falcons and four owl species. It is one of the larger zoos in the West Country and is run as a family business.
