About Blair Drummond Safari Park
Blair Drummond Safari and Adventure Park near Stirling opened in 1970 in the grounds of Blair Drummond House and is Scotland's only safari park, built around a drive-through reserve. The drive passes African lions, Amur tigers, rhinos, giraffes, Grant's zebras, eland, greater kudu, nilgai, Pere David's and Eld's deer and Ankole cattle. Elsewhere there is a chimpanzee island reached by boat, a sea lion pool, five lemur species, Humboldt penguins, a birds of prey collection with Steller's sea eagles, saker and lanner falcons and four owl species, and a large rare-breeds section running to Valais Blacknose, Zwartbles and Somali sheep and Highland ponies.
