About ZOO Borysew
ZOO Borysew lies near Poddebice, about an hour west of Lodz, and is one of the larger private zoos in Poland. Its collection runs to some seventy species, strongest in big cats and hoofstock - white tigers, white lions, black and Chinese leopards, pumas, Chapman's zebras, scimitar-horned oryx, watussi cattle, Tibetan yaks and both camel species - alongside primates, a large parrot and waterfowl section, crocodilians and a walk-through area with alpacas, miniature donkeys and Cameroon sheep.
Visitors can park in the designated parking area near the entrance of the zoo. Parking is paid, so be sure to bring cash or a credit card to cover the fee. It's advisable to arrive early during peak times to secure a good parking spot.
- A summer promotion running to the end of August 2026 charges a flat 60 zloty per person, normal and reduced alike, and no other discount can be combined with it. Outside that the card is 75 zloty full and 62 reduced, with the reduced rate covering children from 3, school pupils and students with ID, pensioners and visitors with a disability from 16. Children under 3 and children with a disability under 16 enter free; a carer pays the reduced rate. Parking is 20 zloty a day with no disability discount, tickets cannot be reserved, and additional attractions inside are paid for separately at each one.
