About British Wildlife Centre
The British Wildlife Centre at Newchapel in Surrey keeps only native British species - 36 of them, from red squirrels, pine martens, polecats, stoats and weasels to otters, badgers, foxes, Scottish wildcats, red and roe deer, water voles and harvest mice, with barn, tawny, little, eagle and snowy owls and a red-billed chough. It runs keeper talks through the day and breeds red squirrels and water voles for reintroduction.
Because the collection is native, several of the animals here are ones most British visitors will never have seen in the wild.
Parking is available on-site for visitors. It is free of charge, making it convenient for families and groups. Be sure to arrive early during peak times to secure a good parking spot, especially on weekends and holidays.
