About Buenaventura Zoo
Buenaventura Zoo is a small zoo at Rio Hato in the province of Cocle, on Panama's central Pacific coast, a few minutes inland from the Playa Blanca hotels. It is presented by the Buenaventura Golf and Beach Resort as an educational attraction rather than a resort facility, and is open to the public. Visitors describe close viewing of the enclosures and a strong emphasis on teaching children about the animals. It publishes no species list and no rate card, and is closed one day a week.
