About Butterfly Sanctuary Jardín Mágico
Mariposario Jardin Magico is the only butterfly sanctuary in the Banderas Bay area, at Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, established in 2019. Under a SEMARNAT permit it is authorised to keep and breed 41 native butterfly species, drawn from the 190 recorded for the region, and it runs a butterfly and pollinator museum alongside the flight house. Guided tours start on the hour and are included with admission. The sanctuary publishes the number of species it holds but not their names.
