The zoo in Dolina Charlotty at Strzelinko near Slupsk is a private garden of over 30 hectares, opened in 2012 out of what had been a stable and then a birds of prey rehabilitation centre. It is a member of the Polish zoo directors' council and holds over 30 mammal and over 20 bird species, several in European breeding programmes - scimitar oryx, black crested gibbon and black howler among them - and keeps a European studbook for grey seals.
It is laid out in parts: Kraina Bajek, a mini zoo with enclosures styled as fairytale scenery, a water safari around an artificial lake with islands, a seal centre opened in 2013 and a butterfly house added in 2020.
