About Cigoland
Cigoland at Kintzheim, between Selestat and Colmar in Alsace, is a combined stork park and family amusement park founded in 1974 by Jean Pierre Willmann. Its subject is the white stork: a museum of the white stork opened in 2016 alongside a stork market explaining what the birds eat, and the breeding colony shares the grounds with swans, peafowl, crowned cranes, fallow deer, llamas, ponies, miniature donkeys, pygmy goats, ducks and Alsatian farmyard breeds.
Around them are a mine train, a monorail over the park, galloping horses, a canoe circuit, bumper boats, a barefoot trail and a circus show. Children under 3 enter free, as do under-12s on their birthday.
Visitors can park in designated areas near the entrance of the park. Parking is typically paid, so be sure to bring some change or a credit card. Arriving early can help you secure a good spot, especially during peak visiting times.
