About L'arche Desnoe
L'Arche Desnoe is a nine-hectare animal park at Saint-Berthevin outside Laval in the Mayenne, built around animals from three continents that visitors may approach, touch and feed. The farmyard side holds rabbits, guinea pigs, hens, turkeys, guineafowl and pheasants; the wider collection runs to llamas, a Percheron, dwarf cattle, goats and pygmy goats, four-horned sheep, an Ankole-Watusi, ponies and donkeys.
Keepers follow the animals daily and feeding is a deliberate part of the visit. There is a picnic area, and the park runs school and birthday visits from across Mayenne, Sarthe and Maine-et-Loire.
Parking is available for free at the zoo. Visitors can park in the designated parking area near the entrance, making it convenient to access the park without any additional costs.
