About Zoo Decin
Zoo Decin sits on the Pastyrska stena rock above the Elbe in northern Bohemia and keeps around 86 published species across mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, aquaria and invertebrates. Its strengths are birds and smaller carnivores rather than large mammals: several owl species, cranes, storks, starlings and birds of paradise, with caracals, margays, wolverines, lynx, European mink and wildcats among the mammals, plus giant anteaters, two-toed sloths, capybaras and Patagonian maras. The Rajske ostrovy - Paradise Islands - pavilion houses the tropical collection. Dogs are not admitted.
