Eifel-Zoo

The Eifel-Zoo at Luenebach in the Rhineland-Palatinate Eifel keeps around 400 animals of some 60 species on 300,000 square metres, concentrating on the northern hemisphere and Australia. Much of it is laid out as open Wildgehege, and a narrow-gauge Feldbahn carries visitors through the enclosures past buffalo, deer and llamas. There is a petting area with goats, sheep and rabbits, a children's park, and a sponsorship scheme supporting the animals. Open every day from 10am to 6pm, with last admission at 4:45pm.
