About Wildpark Ernstbrunn
Wildpark Ernstbrunn lies at Doerfles near Ernstbrunn, about 40 km north of Vienna in the Weinviertel. It shows central European wildlife in large enclosures - red and fallow deer, sika, mouflon, chamois, alpine ibex, wild boar and wolves - with a petting section holding donkeys, ponies, rabbits, Highland cattle and Zackel sheep. There is a cafeteria and a shop selling regional produce at the entrance, and the park runs a well known wolf research and wolfdog project.
Visitors can park in designated areas near the entrance of the Wildpark. Parking is free, but it is advisable to arrive early during peak times to secure a spot. Be sure to follow any posted signs to ensure you are parking in the correct areas.
- Closed on Mondays in summer and on weekdays through the winter: summer, from Palm Sunday, is Tuesday to Sunday and public holidays 09:00-17:00; winter, from 4 November, is Saturday and Sunday and holidays 10:00-16:00. The park does charge admission but publishes the figures only in a script-rendered table, so no price is recorded here.
