Erve Weusthag is a Twente farm on the edge of the woods inside Hengelo, run by a foundation as a city farm, food forest and education site. The animals are few and known by name - Hans the goat, Pico the donkey, Blue an American miniature horse, Bennie the turkey and the KuneKune pigs Woezel and Pip - and children can help learn about animal care, biodiversity and food.
There is a large playground, a sandpit, pedal tractors, a gnome trail, organic vegetable gardens and a cafe. Admission is free.
Visitors can park in the designated parking area next to the biological vegetable garden. Parking is free, making it convenient for families and groups. It's advisable to arrive early during peak times to secure a good spot.
