About Tierpark Niederfischbach e.V.
Tierpark Niederfischbach is run by a registered association in the Westerwald and shows native wildlife alongside old and rare domestic breeds under the Arche programme - Bergische Kraeher chickens, Croellwitzer turkeys, Carinthian spectacled sheep, Ouessant and Valachian sheep, Poitou donkeys, Swedish mountain cattle and Thuringian forest goats among them.
Native species run from the smallest fancy mouse to lynx, otter, raccoon dog and beech marten, with a large collection of owls and birds of prey. The otter feeding is commentated daily at 16:00. Flight shows are suspended until further notice. A youth group helps with the animal care, and the park publishes scientific work on its collection.
