About Fäboden
Faboden at Idre Fjall is a working Swedish mountain pasture with old fabod cabins, kept as a summer attraction at the ski resort. Its animals are goats, cattle, rabbits, geese and hens - among them seven cockerels of the old Swedish Silverudd's Blue landrace, a breed known for laying green eggs, and three American Buff geese. There is a waffle cafe and lawn games with a view over the fells.
Visitors can park in designated areas near the Square at Idre Fjäll. Parking is free, making it convenient for families and groups. It's advisable to arrive early during peak times to secure a good spot.
- Free to visit and a short walk from Torget at Idre Fjall, just above the middle lift station. The animals are outside between 09:00 and 17:00 every day in summer, so there is little to see outside those hours.
