About Freiland-Aquarium und -Terrarium Stein
The Freiland-Aquarium und -Terrarium at Stein near Nuremberg is an open-air aquarium and terrarium run by the Naturhistorische Gesellschaft Nuernberg, showing native fish, amphibians and reptiles in outdoor pools and enclosures along a marked circuit. It is a volunteer society installation kept up by donations, with group programmes and quiz sheets for school parties. It opens only in summer, from 1 May to 30 September, and only at weekends and on public holidays.
