About Glasrikets Älgpark
Glasrikets Algpark outside Nybro in Smaland is a moose park rather than a zoo: visitors meet the moose on a timed safari, either guided or driving their own car through the enclosure. Alongside the moose it keeps alpacas, fallow deer, hens and rainbow trout in a pond, and runs guided alpaca walks and put-and-take salmon fishing.
Parking at Glasrikets Älgpark
Parking information is available on the zoo's official website.
Good to Know Before You Go
- Everything runs on timed safari departures, so check the timetable and book ahead rather than turning up - a car safari lasts about 45 minutes in the park. Departure times shift through the year and the park closes to own-car safaris entirely from early September to mid-October. The alpaca walk is a separate booking with a minimum age of 13 and takes groups of five to ten.
