About Vildriket
Vildriket at Jarvso in Halsingland - until recently called Jarvzoo - keeps Nordic species only, in large enclosures where the animals can withdraw out of sight if they want to. Its collection runs to wolves, wolverines, lynx, arctic foxes, moose, muskox, both domestic and Finnish forest reindeer, hedgehogs and Jamtland goats, with a strong owl and raptor section - golden eagle, eagle-owl, snowy, great grey, Ural, tawny and hawk owls - and a white-backed woodpecker.
It runs conservation, research and rehabilitation work alongside the park, and has a Wolf Hotel where guests sleep overlooking the wolf enclosure.
