About Monkey Park
Monkey Park at Los Cristianos on Tenerife is a small conservation-minded park built around close contact with its animals, and a member of Species360 working with Durrell, Fauna & Flora and the Lemur Conservation Network. Primates are its heart - ring-tailed, white-headed and mongoose lemurs, lar gibbons, De Brazza's, patas and Roloway monkeys, grey langurs, squirrel monkeys and five tamarin and marmoset species including the golden-headed lion tamarin and the cotton-top - alongside a large parrot collection of macaws, amazons, cockatoos and turacos, plus Cuban crocodiles, tortoises, iguanas and recently arrived Bennett's wallabies. Feeding the animals with the park's own vegetable boxes is part of the visit.
Parking is available near the entrance of Monkey Park. It is important to check if the parking is free or paid, as this can vary. Arriving early is recommended to secure a good parking spot, especially on weekends.
- No restaurant or bar in the park, and outside food may not be brought in - it can be left free of charge in the lockers. Grapes, banana, raisins, dates, nuts, dried fruit, sweets, bread, biscuits and chocolate are banned outright because visitors feed the animals. Small boxes of vegetables are sold in the park for feeding. There is no discount for groups, residents, students or visitors with a disability.
