The Parc Zoologique et Botanique de Mulhouse is both a zoo and a botanical garden, laid out on 25 hectares in the city with a collection built around European breeding programmes for threatened species. Its strengths are lemurs and other Madagascan animals, gibbons and guenons, and cold-climate species - polar bears, Amur leopards, Siberian tigers, muskox and snow leopards.
