About Northumberland Zoo
Northumberland Zoo sits on a farm at Felton near Morpeth and is a small, conservation-led collection with an unusual bias towards animals other zoos rarely show. Alongside snow leopards, servals, lowland tapirs and Canadian lynx it keeps Livingstone's fruit bats, naked mole rats, white-clawed crayfish and native harvest mice as part of British breeding programmes, and has a large owl collection running to Ural, brown wood, great grey, snowy and Bengal eagle owls. There is a rare-breeds farm section and a set of keeper experiences, including beekeeping.
Visitors can park in the designated parking area near the entrance of the zoo. Parking is free, making it convenient for families and groups. It's advisable to arrive early during peak times to secure a good spot.
