About Opole Zoo
Opole Zoo sits on Bolko Island in the Odra and is one of the older Polish municipal zoos. Its collection leans towards cats and primates - tigers, snow leopards, ocelots, pumas and lynx alongside gorillas, siamangs, gibbons, cotton-top and emperor tamarins and squirrel monkeys - with maned wolves, giant anteaters, red pandas, coatis, meerkats, California sea lions, kulans and red-crowned cranes. Note that the zoo publishes no species list of its own; this record is built from the enclosures mapped on the site.
