About Rauch Zoo
The rauch Zoo at Freudenberg is run by the Otto Rauch foundation on a gentle slope above the furniture company's own grounds, and has been open since 1993 - it began as the owning family's pony paddock and grew into a small zoo. Bactrian camels live there alongside Moroccan Barbary macaques, alpacas, llamas, Patagonian maras, fallow deer and Bennett's wallabies. Admission is free, and an easy circular path along the paddocks carries detailed information boards on each species.
