About Zamosc Zoo
Zamosc Zoo lies inside the bastion ring of the Renaissance fortress town. It is laid out as a series of pavilions - one for giraffes and other African animals, one for pygmy hippo and capybara, one for large and medium carnivores together with reptiles, amphibians, fish and invertebrates, a monkey and butterfly house, aviaries for owls and for ground birds, a lemur island and winter quarters with ponds for waterfowl - plus stables for antelope, Vietnamese sika deer and camels, and a mini zoo.
