About Zviratkov
Zviratkov is an animal shelter open to visitors rather than a zoo - its name means roughly 'little animal place' and the animals are ones it has taken in. Those it publishes are a raccoon, a weeper capuchin, a crab-eating macaque, a Shetland pony and a red-eared slider, each offered for symbolic adoption. Visiting supports the rescued animals directly, and the site runs meet-the-animal sessions, school visits and summer day camps.
Visitors can park in the designated parking area near the entrance of Zví?átkov. Parking is free, making it convenient for families and groups. It is advisable to arrive early during peak times to secure a good spot.
- Closed Mondays and Tuesdays; open Wednesday to Sunday from 12:00 to 18:00. Tickets are bought at the gate. A ZTP disability card gets the child rate and dogs come in free. Feeding the animals with food you bring is strictly forbidden - the shelter takes in animals with dietary problems - but the keepers run commented feeding sessions.
